The Holland Village (HV) Work Desk was challenge in working with imported wood species. The client had requested the lightest possible coloured wood for her table. Because local species tended to be much darker, we sourced out Birch and Beech wood from a new supplier to meet her needs. We also painted the top to create an even stronger contrast between the tabletop and its surroundings.

Going further, the design was driven by ergonomics of the client. The curvature fits the user perfectly with the laptop in front, while leaving space on the sides for using the mouse or writing on paper pads, as the client professes she loves doing. We also catered space for cable management, as is necessary for all modern furniture these days.
