Workshop Classes

What kind of classes do you provide?

We provide introductory woodworking classes that use a combination of hand tools and power tools to create objects and furniture that you can bring home. Each lesson will guide the participant to transform raw lumber into the finished product, such as a memory box, laptop stand or end table. Participants will learn the basic techniques including measuring and marking, cutting, joinery, sanding and oil/wax finishing.

Because we do not strictly follow a specific discipline of woodworking (e.g. Japanese style, Scandinavian style, etc), we are able to incorporate techniques from a wide variety of sources to develop our own unique brand.

Who is it for?

Our lesson plan is design for beginners with zero woodworking experience prior to signing up. We go through the basic fundamentals and technique of each tool so that participants can understand and practice in a safe environment. Intermediate and experienced woodworkers are invited to join as well, as we can adjust the lesson plan for more advanced projects.

Are there any restrictions?

We are unable to provide classes for children below the age of 13. Teens between the ages of 13 to 15 can attend with one accompanying adult each.

The workshop classes are also not recommended for people with high risk of asthma.

Participants are not allowed to wear loose clothing, skirts, FBT shorts or accessories (such as wristwatch, jewellery) into the workshop.

What should I bring?

Besides your positive attitude, participants are also advised to wear clothes they are ok with exposing to sawdust.

Our refund policy

Classes are considered “complete” so long as the participant has attended the class, regardless of outcome. Hence, they will not be eligible for a refund. Similarly, “no-shows” will be considered void without refund unless instructors have been notified prior to the class date.

Instructors reserve the right to remove participants from classes, without refund, if students are unable or unwilling to following safety guidelines set by the instructor or are creating a physically or mentally unsafe environment for the instructor or other participants.
